Valencia

Valencia´s coastline is a melange of orange orchards and rice paddies overlooked by the vineyards. The city of Valencia is also Spain's largest port for exporting wines. Wines bottled under the Valencia DO may either come from the Valencia DO zone or from the region's other DO zones, Alicante and Utiel-Requena. The vineyards of Valencia form four subzones: Alto Turia, Valentino, Moscatel de Valencia, and Clariano. The most prominent local grape is Monastrell , but Valencia provides a broad range of wines in dramatically diverse styles.
